Hunting on the Wendy Lou
Our goal at Wendy Lou Reserve is to provide the hunter a challenging and rewarding hunting experience with the opportunity to capture a terrific trophy animal. Hunts may be conducted safari style, spot and stalk, or by settling into one of our fourteen blinds located all over our pristine reserve.
The generations of exotic game on Wendy Lou (and Whitetail alike) have never been penned or feeder raised - they live as if they were in their native habitat, roaming freely, grazing over varying grasslands, riverine areas, pecan groves and bush lands. We are committed to making your visit to Wendy Lou, be it a day-trip or a long weekend, a single hunt or a corporate group, a memorable one.
Our hunting philosophy is one of conserving the health and regulating the numbers of our animals, where we always strive for a merciful swift clean kill with minimal disturbance to our growing herds. We are also strong proponents of the use of silencers (we can provide them for your use if you so choose).
Our Outfitter/Guides know the terrain and animals backwards and assures you of an exciting hunting experience (assisting you with fielddressing, caping and quartering your trophy).

Your Accommodation: The Lookout Lodge
The Wendy Lou Classic Game Reserve "Lookout Lodge" is situated on a high ridge, thus affording panoramic views of the riverine areas, grasslands and natural bush. The design incorporates Texan comfort with African ambiance, giving our guests a unique Tex African experience. African collectables such as carvings and artworks, traditional weapons, calabashes, drums and such, amassed over many years are found throughout the lodge.
Each suite has two queen size beds, a luxury bathroom, an enclosed outdoor shower, built-in personal gun safe, and its own ducted air conditioning system.
The living area with its impressive wood and stone features incorporates an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen/bar area with comfortable funishings, large open fireplace, satellite TV and a quiet reading space upstairs.
The outdoor "boma", a stone wall enclosed fire pit and dining area, open to the stars, offers an African feel and is the venue for a different evening dining experience.
